Slightly soluble in water, it is easy to react with ho0 produced by peroxide hydrolysis in alkaline environment to generate peracetic acid, which has stronger bleaching performance than hydrogen peroxide at lower temperature, and is usually used as bleaching activator of peroxide.
For example, it can be used in detergents and dishwashing agents together with sodium percarbonate or sodium perborate, which has very strong bleaching, disinfection and sterilization functions; it can be used in bleaching of pulp, fiber or cotton fabric in combination with hydrogen peroxide, which can promote complete reaction of hydrogen peroxide, reduce bath temperature, improve whiteness of bleached fabric, reduce damage of cotton fabric, and the reaction product can be biodegraded, which is an ideal bleaching agent
applied in domestic laundry detergents, automatic dishwashing, and bleach boosters, laundry soak treatments, to improve the washing performance.
